When Sight Is Dazzled
فَإِذَا بَرِقَ ٱلۡبَصَرُ ٧
But when sight is confounded.

Meaning
When vision is dazzled.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “bariq al-basar” is the eyes dazzled in bewilderment by the pain of a sudden calamity, like the terror of lightning striking overhead.
