Walking Upright
Is he who goeth groping on his face more rightly guided, or he who walketh upright on a straight road.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Is one who walks fallen on his face better guided, or one who walks upright on a straight path?
Insight
Elmalılı likens the one crawling on his face to a person whose eyes are fixed only on the low and the worldly, seeing no one but himself. The believer walks straight with faith and knowledge. A person should think about whom to follow.
Reflect
Lift your head today: are your eyes only on the screen, or on your goal?
