Gratitude
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَٱنۡحَرۡ ٢
So pray unto thy Lord, and sacrifice.

Meaning
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the letter ‘fa’ at the beginning indicates a reason: because so much has been given, gratitude in the same measure is due. For him, prayer gathers all the parts of gratitude offered with the heart, the tongue and the whole body. It is the pillar of religion.
