His Own Witness
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدࣱ ٧
And lo! he is a witness unto that.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And he himself is witness to that.
Insight
Elmalılı gives two meanings: Allah is witness to his ingratitude, or the person himself bears witness to it through his own conduct. Since the subject is man, the second is strong too.
