Each in Its Orbit
It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The sun may not overtake the moon, nor the night outrun the day. Each swims in an orbit.
Insight
Elmalılı notes the plural “each”: this is said not only of the sun and moon but of all heavenly bodies. None collides with another; their tasks are distributed so beautifully and orderly.
Reflect
Put the tasks of your life in their own “orbits”: what are you mixing up?
