The Sun’s Course
And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The sun runs to its appointed resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the sun’s “running” is not only its movement in space but the continuing of all its effects, such as spreading light and heat. All of it moves towards a set measure and end.
Reflect
Today, give thanks for the light and warmth the sun gives you.
