Our Gift
هَٰذَا عَطَآؤُنَا فَٱمۡنُنۡ أَوۡ أَمۡسِكۡ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابࣲ ٣٩
(Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
“This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account.”

According to Elmalılı, this dominion and subjection is Allah’s gift; he was free to be generous to whom he wished.
