Mighty and Merciful
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٩
And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Your Lord is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, He is mighty and can take retribution whenever He wills; if He delays, it is because He is merciful.
