Adorned with Stars
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلۡكَوَاكِبِ ٦
Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “as-sama’ ad-dunya” means the nearest heaven; “dunya” is the feminine of “adna”, nearest.
