Surah An-Nasr

1إِذَا جَآءَ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡفَتۡحُ ١When Allah’s succour and the triumph cometh.InsightAccording to Elmalılı, the word ‘idha’ refers to a time that will certainly come. It shows that the help is so certain that one says not ‘if it comes’ but ‘when it comes’.2وَرَأَيۡتَ ٱلنَّاسَ يَدۡخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ ٱللَّهِ أَفۡوَاجࣰا ٢And thou seest mankind entering the religion of Allah in troops.InsightAccording to Elmalılı, ‘people’ here begins with the Arabs but opens to all humankind. The real aim is to see humanity beginning to enter into the truth.3فَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ وَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ تَوَّابَۢا ٣Then hymn the praises of thy Lord, and seek forgiveness of Him. Lo! He is ever ready to show mercy.InsightAccording to Elmalılı, the outcome and wisdom of victory, conquest and the spread of the faith is glorification and praise. This is also the beginning and end of the prayer of the people of Paradise. For him, praise and glorification are the purpose of all creation.
