To Go On in Sin
بَلۡ يُرِيدُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ لِيَفۡجُرَ أَمَامَهُۥ ٥
But man would fain deny what is before him.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Rather, man wants to continue in sin ahead of him.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the sinful person wants never to part from his desires and pleasures and to go on with them; this is the real reason he denies the resurrection.
Reflect
Don’t say “I’ll quit later”; quit a sin today.
