Where to Flee?
يَقُولُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ يَوۡمَئِذٍ أَيۡنَ ٱلۡمَفَرُّ ١٠
On that day man will cry: Whither to flee.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Man will say on that Day: “Where is the escape?”
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the sinner looks for a place to flee the terror and says this out of despair and bewilderment; it is a question expressing hopelessness.
Reflect
There is no fleeing from Allah; flee to Him today.
