The Touch of Saqar
يَوۡمَ يُسۡحَبُونَ فِي ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمۡ ذُوقُواْ مَسَّ سَقَرَ ٤٨
On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces: “Taste the touch of Saqar.”
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “Saqar” is one of the names of Hell; this expresses what its touch is like.
