Oaths Until Resurrection?
Or have ye a covenant on oath from Us that reacheth to the Day of Judgment, that yours shall be all that ye ordain.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Or do you have oaths from Us lasting until the Day of Resurrection that you will have whatever you judge?
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this means: “Because you were given some power today, did you receive a guarantee from Us that whatever you decide will be so until the Resurrection?”
Reflect
Don’t forget that the power you hold is temporary.
