Trusts and Promises
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ وَعَهۡدِهِمۡ رَٰعُونَ ٨
And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Those who are faithful to their trusts and promises.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, a trust is not only property: the rights of Allah and of people, agencies, guardianships and public offices are trusts too. Covenant covers every promise made to Allah, the Prophet and people.
