They Left You Standing
But when they spy some merchandise or pastime they break away to it and leave thee standing. Say: That which Allah hath is better than pastime and than merchandise, and Allah is the Best of providers.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
When they saw trade or amusement, they rushed to it and left you standing.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this is them leaving the Prophet giving the sermon on the pulpit to run to trade; yet what is with Allah is better than amusement and trade.
Reflect
Don’t sacrifice your worship for a worldly matter today.
