Sent Down Gradually
إِنَّا نَحۡنُ نَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ تَنزِيلࣰا ٢٣
Lo! We, even We, have revealed unto thee the Qur’an, a revelation.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Indeed, We have sent down the Qur’an to you gradually.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the Qur’an was not revealed at once but gradually, piece by piece over twenty-three years; none but Allah sent it down.
Reflect
Read the Qur’an piece by piece too, a little each day.
