Not Equal
لَا يَسۡتَوِيٓ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِ وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۚ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِ هُمُ ٱلۡفَآئِزُونَ ٢٠
Not equal are the owners of the Fire and the owners of the Garden. The owners of the Garden, they are the victorious.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The people of the Fire and the people of Paradise are not equal.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, those who forget Allah and sink into sin deserve the Fire; those who fear and guard themselves deserve Paradise; the two are never equal.
