What Have You Sent Ahead?
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلۡتَنظُرۡ نَفۡسࣱ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ لِغَدࣲۖ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ١٨
O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah. And let every soul look to that which it sendeth on before for the morrow. And observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.

Meaning
O you who believe! Be mindful of Allah, and let every soul look to what it has sent ahead for tomorrow.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, believers should guard against hypocrisy, disbelief, injustice and Satan’s evil end, take refuge in Allah’s protection, and heed His command in every matter.
