The Aorta
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعۡنَا مِنۡهُ ٱلۡوَتِينَ ٤٦
And then severed his life-artery.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Then We would have cut from him the aorta.

Elmalılı explains “watin” as the heart’s artery, the aorta, or the spinal cord; both are places on which life depends.
