A Chain of Seventy Cubits
ثُمَّ فِي سِلۡسِلَةࣲ ذَرۡعُهَا سَبۡعُونَ ذِرَاعࣰا فَٱسۡلُكُوهُ ٣٢
And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
“Then into a chain of seventy cubits insert him.”

According to Elmalılı, discussions of what kind of cubit is meant are unnecessary; some said seventy expresses abundance rather than an exact number.
