All the Scriptures

And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter.

Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall

Meaning

Believers believe both in what was revealed to the Prophet and in the scriptures revealed before him. They believe in the Hereafter with certainty.

Insight

According to Elmalılı, the principles of faith are never abrogated, only completed. That is why Islam respects all the revealed religions before it and stands as their witness.

Reflect

How does faith in the earlier prophets shape how a Muslim sees people of other faiths?
