Does He Not Know?
۞أَفَلَا يَعۡلَمُ إِذَا بُعۡثِرَ مَا فِي ٱلۡقُبُورِ ٩
Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Does he not know: when what is in the graves is brought out…
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this is a warning that recalls the outcome: whoever is stingy and ungrateful out of greed for wealth, even if he does not see the harm today, will one day understand and face the result.
