From the Far End of the Town
And there came from the uttermost part of the city a man running. He cried: O my people! Follow those who have been sent.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
A man came running from the far end of the town: “O my people, follow the messengers!”
Insight
Elmalılı names him as the heroic believer known as Habib an-Najjar. His coming from the far side of the town shows that the messengers’ call had been heard everywhere in it.
