A Defeated Army
جُندࣱ مَّا هُنَالِكَ مَهۡزُومࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ ١١
A defeated host are (all) the factions that are there.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
They are but a defeated soldiery among the factions.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, they are the remnants of various factions that once gathered against the prophets and perished; like them they are doomed to defeat.
