The Day of Emergence
يَوۡمَ يَسۡمَعُونَ ٱلصَّيۡحَةَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُرُوجِ ٤٢
The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
The Day they will hear the blast in truth; that is the Day of Emergence.
Insight
Elmalılı relates from al-Baydawi: “the Day of Emergence” is one of the names of the Resurrection; it is also used for the day of ‘Id.
