The Caller
وَٱسۡتَمِعۡ يَوۡمَ يُنَادِ ٱلۡمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانࣲ قَرِيبࣲ ٤١
And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And listen for the Day the Caller will call from a place nearby.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the caller is Israfil or Gabriel: “O decayed bones, severed joints, scattered hair! Allah calls you to be gathered.”
