Do Not Dispute Before Me
قَالَ لَا تَخۡتَصِمُواْ لَدَيَّ وَقَدۡ قَدَّمۡتُ إِلَيۡكُم بِٱلۡوَعِيدِ ٢٨
He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
“Do not dispute before Me, while I had already sent you the warning.”
Insight
According to Elmalılı, Allah had warned them in the world, in the time for deeds, through books and prophets.
