Those Who Die Disbelieving
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَاتُواْ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارࣱ فَلَن يَغۡفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمۡ ٣٤
Lo! those who disbelieve and turn from the way of Allah and then die disbelievers, Allah surely will not pardon them.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Those who disbelieve and then die while disbelievers, Allah will never forgive them.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, though this verse was revealed about those killed at Badr, it covers all who die in disbelief.
