As Much as You Can

So keep your duty to Allah as best ye can, and listen, and obey, and spend; that is better for your souls. And whoso is saved from his own greed, such are the successful.

Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall

Meaning

So be mindful of Allah as much as you can, listen, obey and spend.

Insight

According to Elmalılı, this command is much lighter than “be mindful of Allah as He deserves”: keeping the path of piety as far as you are able.

Reflect

Do what you can today and leave the rest to Allah.
