Who Takes His Due

And whoso defendeth himself after he hath suffered wrong - for such, there is no way (of blame) against them.

Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall

Meaning

And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged, there is no blame on them.

Insight

According to Elmalılı, though pardon is better, there is no way to punish one who does not pardon but responds in kind.

Reflect

Don’t exceed the limit when taking your due.
