They Called Him Mad

(Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman.

Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall

Meaning

Pharaoh said: “Your messenger who was sent to you is surely mad.”

Insight

According to Elmalılı, saying “your messenger” was mockery; all who play Pharaoh call divine callers mad like this.

Reflect

Don’t be swayed by mockery of those who speak truth.
