A Trial for Wrongdoers
إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهَا فِتۡنَةࣰ لِّلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ٦٣
Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, wrongdoers are tempted by it in this world and suffer its torment in the Hereafter; devouring people through injustice is itself a zaqqum.
