Gathered with Their Kinds
۞ٱحۡشُرُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَأَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ٢٢
(And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Gather those who wronged, their kinds and what they used to worship.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “their kinds” means their likes: idol-worshippers with idol-worshippers, star-worshippers with star-worshippers, or with their devil companions.
