To a Hundred Thousand
وَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ ١٤٧
And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, Jonah was sent back to the place he fled; it reached a hundred thousand people, even more.
