When They Submitted
فَلَمَّآ أَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلۡجَبِينِ ١٠٣
Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
And when they had both submitted and he put him down on his forehead.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, both surrendered themselves to Allah’s command; Abraham laid him on his temple. This took place at Mina.
