Moving Mountains
And thou seest the hills thou deemest solid flying with the flight of clouds: the doing of Allah Who perfecteth all things. Lo! He is Informed of what ye do.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
You see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they pass as the passing of clouds.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this verse has not been well understood; commentators took it as a Resurrection scene, whereas it points to the mountains moving even now.
Reflect
See Allah’s artistry in what you think is still.
