The Greatest Signs
لَقَدۡ رَأَىٰ مِنۡ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰٓ ١٨
Verily he saw one of the greater revelations of his Lord.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, “ayat” means wonders; “al-kubra” means either the greatest of them or some of the great ones.
