An-Naba 78:30
The Tidings · Meccan · Juz 30 · Page 582
Taste!
فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ٣٠
So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
“So taste! We will not increase you except in punishment.”
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this is clear evidence that the punishment does not end. Then the passage turns from the state of the arrogant to that of the mindful.
Reflect
