You Were Not There
وَمَا كُنتَ بِجَانِبِ ٱلۡغَرۡبِيِّ إِذۡ قَضَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَى ٱلۡأَمۡرَ وَمَا كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَ ٤٤
And thou (Muhammad) wast not on the western side (of the Mount) when We expounded unto Moses the commandment, and thou wast not among those present.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
You were not on the western side when We revealed the command to Moses.

According to Elmalılı, this is the appointed place where Moses received the tablets; the Prophet’s knowing these accounts is by revelation.
