Uprooted Trunks
Sweeping men away as though they were uprooted trunks of palm-trees.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, since the people of ‘Ad were huge, they toppled like palm trunks torn from their roots.
Reflect
Be strong in faith, not in body alone.
