The Moon Split
ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلۡقَمَرُ ١
The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain.

Meaning
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, the Hour, when reward is promised to believers and punishment to disbelievers, draws nearer day by day; one must prepare. The splitting of the moon is among the Prophet’s miracles.
