While They Slept
فَطَافَ عَلَيۡهَا طَآئِفࣱ مِّن رَّبِّكَ وَهُمۡ نَآئِمُونَ ١٩
Then a visitation from thy Lord came upon it while they slept.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
So there came upon it an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this was a divine calamity that swept round the garden; by one report a fire came out of the valley and burned it to the roots.

Remember that even asleep you need Allah’s protection.
