They Made No Exception
وَلَا يَسۡتَثۡنُونَ ١٨
And made no exception (for the Will of Allah).

Meaning
Without making exception.

According to Elmalılı, they set no condition like “inshallah” or “if we reach morning safely”; they thought themselves very strong and determined.
