The Pen and What They Write
نٓۚ وَٱلۡقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسۡطُرُونَ ١
Nun. By the pen and that which they write (therewith).

Nun. By the pen and what they write.

According to Elmalılı, Nun is one of the disjointed letters, like those at the start of al-Baqarah; the oath is by the pen and what is written with it.
