Not Sent as Guardians
وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ ٣٣
Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.

Yet they were not sent as guardians over them.

According to Elmalılı, while rolling in crime themselves, they ruled on whether the believers were right or astray, as if pitying them; yet they had no such charge.
