Firdaws
ٱلَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ ٱلۡفِرۡدَوۡسَ هُمۡ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ ١١
Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Who will inherit Firdaws, abiding therein forever.
Insight
Elmalılı relates from Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari that the Prophet said: “Firdaws is the pavilion of the Most Merciful; it has rivers and trees.” Some said the word means garden in another language.
