Look Again
Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Turn your gaze again and again; it will come back to you weary and defeated, having found no flaw.
Insight
Elmalılı notes that the word meaning “twice” is used here for “again and again”. For him, the verse also points to how two eyes join into one sight, and to the inner vision that unites them.
Reflect
Today, look again at a beauty you have stopped noticing out of habit.
