Who Will Help?
أَمَّنۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي هُوَ جُندࣱ لَّكُمۡ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۚ إِنِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ ٢٠
Or who is he that will be an army unto you to help you instead of the Beneficent? The disbelievers are in naught but illusion.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
Who is it that could be an army for you to help you against the Most Merciful? The disbelievers are only in delusion.
Insight
According to Elmalılı, everything a person relies on, whether weapons, power or other people, is useless unless Allah protects. Without His mercy, every effort turns against a person.
