Confessing Sins
فَٱعۡتَرَفُواْ بِذَنۢبِهِمۡ فَسُحۡقࣰا لِّأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ ١١
So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames.
Translation: Marmaduke Pickthall
Meaning
So they confess their sins. Away, then, with the people of the blaze!
Insight
According to Elmalılı, this confession shows there was no lack in Allah’s grace and justice: eyes, ears and minds were given, messengers sent, signs revealed. The lack was in those who did not use them.
